of 21 Minnesota women who have faced breast cancer. Nikpay’s
compelling verse reflects her Persian influence in which contradictions

knowledge. The book also includes an essay by renowned author Thomas
Moore that eloquently guides the reader to shape and influence their
healing journey. Moore’s essay entitled How To Be Healed

This project explores the identity of American adolescents from immigrant families through a series of portraits. The collection of work captures the inner psych of youth at a crucial transitional time before adulthood when they must then negotiate their inherited culture.
